Carl, It’s been a long battle, but as you and I both know, the struggle is well worth the fight. Get well. I look forward to seeing you back in the newsroom sooner rather than later.
Carl, I hope you get better and hopefully soon we can get back up in the “air” and do some more stories with airplanes. You always seemed to get stuck with me doing your stories about aviation, because all the other photographers were afraid to fly. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Back in the day, I used to watch the Channel 7 News with my father. And I do recall how you and I think his name was Don Wayne from time to time would have my father laughing. I didn’t understand what was going on then. Now I am used to seeing you on Channel 2 News and I look forward to your speedy recovery and soon return your friends at the station and the community. You along with the rest of the TV2 team is what makes WDTN special. I have followed you from way back when in your earlier broadcast days. You are truly a professional. In fact, I believe I may have some pictures I took of you broadcasting (on radio?) at the Trotwood Bicentennial Days in ‘75 or ‘76. I remember watching you on TV in 1998 as I struggled with my treatments and loss of hair. You were an inspiration to me. I thought that you did not look bad bald, so, even though I am female, I would look ok bald too. I was also encouraged when your hair started growing back. I thank you for your inspiration and pray that God will give you the strength to come through as strong as before.

Hi Carl… We ( The Medical Team at The MiChi Health EpiCenter ) miss you. You are in our prayers. We just wanted to send you our WELL WISHES and encourage you to make sure that you check the RADON in your water and air of your home and office. Also check you EMF ( electromagnetic field ) radiation of your home and office. Both can create disease. They can also exacerbate your illness. January is the National RADON ACTION MONTH. I get concerned when a person suffering with cancer, or other critical illnesses, disappears for a long period, with no mention until we suddenly find out they have passed..

Will the station mention your condition/situation on a broadcast soon? I’m sure many many people would like to know how you are fairing, whether you’re doing well or not.
