Clipper Today

A Clipper system will affect the Miami Valley today.  We are expecting some light snowfall accumulations across the whole viewing area… with some heavier bursts of snow that will reduce visibilities.  This will cause a few travel problems as the heavier bands come through… also causing slick spots on area roads.

The good news… some warmer air will be working in as the day goes on.  Temperatures at the surface will climb into the mid and upper 30s.  Aloft, the temperature profile also looks like a little rain will mix in… especially from Dayton southward.  Both of these conditions will help cut back on snowfall totals.

We do have a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY up for the Northern Counties:

And that is where we’ll likely see the most snow.  Here is our thinking this morning:

We will keep you posted on the situation, and Erik will have an update later today!
