March Statistics Day!

April 1st, 2009 at 7:48 am by Jamie Jarosik under Weather

Not only is it April Fool’s Day… but it’s also March Statistics Day!  Yeaaaaay!  ;)   March was a warm, dry month for the Dayton area.  Here is a snap shot of what we experienced over the past 31 days:

monthly-stats

On to our weather today… a cold front moved through early this morning, bringing some light rain to the area.  Now we’re drying out as the front moves away… and high pressure builds in.  We’ll have plenty of sunshine today, with highs climbing up near 60-degrees.

Thursday will be another nice day, with highs in the mid-60s and a mix of sun and clouds.  The winds will pick up again… and by Thursday evening, the chance of rain is back:

This is a pretty good storm system… should keep showers around through the first half of the day on Friday.  It will also mean a chilly day for Friday, with highs only near 50 degrees.  And the active weather will continue, as another storm is moving in at the end of the weekend!

Hello to everyone from the URS Bowl-a-Thon yesterday!  It was truly a great time, and wonderful to spend time with you all!

Good afternoon everyone. I hope everyone is enjoying the Spring so far, I know I am!!! I didn’t think the month of March was that dry, as far as rainfall goes. I knew we we’re quite a bit short on snowfall for the season, not that I’m complaining about that :) . Any idea on how much rain we could see from this next system? How were those pepperoni rolls? I noticed no one was willing to share any with me :( . Oh well, I’ll live. Have a great day!!!

Michael, the pepperoni rolls were yummie… but don’t feel bad that you didn’t get one. They had TRANS FAT!! Eeeeek! ;) We had a lot of lighter rain events in March. This next storm looks like it will bring in about a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch. If we get some thunderstorms, the totals could be a bit higher. And another chance of rain late Sunday is good…
