Last week all over again…

April 20th, 2009 at 9:39 am by Jamie Jarosik under Weather

Remember last week, when we started off cold, gray and damp?  Well, we’re doing it again this week, as another slow-moving low pressure center will be with us through Wednesday.  You can see the unsettled weather it’s bringing to the region this morning:

And the upper low doesn’t go very far by Tuesday afternoon:

That will keep us with clouds and rain in the area, as well as cooler temperatures.  The winds will also pick up, bringing about a breezy couple of days!  The weather improves Wednesday afternoon, as drier air finally works in.  And the week is expected to end with a BANG!!  Lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures… perhaps the warmest we’ve seen yet!  Stay tuned…

Well, look at it this way, save the BEST for last!!! I would rather have the gray, damp, & dull weather now and the nice, sunny & very warm weather for the weekend! :) Can you hear those hamburgers and steaks hitting the grill now? Boy, I sure can! Guess what I’ll be doing this weekend! ;) Have a good one.

Fred, the cooler weather we’ve had is a direct result of a long-term longwave trough that has been in place over the Great Lakes. It has been with us throughout the winter/spring… and will likely bring a relatively cooler start to the summer.

    Michael… I think a cookout sounds GREAT!! :)
