Repeat Performance!

Hey, if you liked yesterday’s weather… you’re in luck!! Today we’ll do it again! Cloudy, rainy and CHILLY… as temperatures continue to run below normal. We are half-way through the month of October, and are well below normal for the month so far… by -5.7 degrees! I don’t like the way this looks for our winter forecast… (read: cold!) Although I believe the weather pattern is still setting up, so we need to give it a little more time before we get a good feel.
This morning’s steadier rain will taper off, and we’ll be left with areas of mist/drizzle this afternoon. A few light showers are also possible. Just gray and damp!
Yesterday I mentioned ice pellets in Tipp City… well they also saw some snowflakes mixing in later in the morning! I have had several reports of that… even from Jeff Stevens at Mix 107.7. He thought he saw a few flakes near the Fairfield Commons Mall last night. Totally possible.
On Facebook and Twitter… all anyone is talking about is the cold wet weather! Here is a ray of hope for all of you who miss those pleasant fall days:
That is the GFS model forecasting a ridge to build in next week. That means warmer temperatures… back up near normal… in the low-to-mid 60s!! Hang in there!

I HATE THIS WEATHER!!! Cold, damp & gray! It makes me want to do absolutely nothing but snooze. Our trip down to the Hocking Hills has been set back another weekend because of the yucky conditions. I say this every year, if you’ve never been down there, this is the perfect time of year to go and experience all the beautiful fall colors, and make a stop in the village of Laurelville for apples & cider, then head on into the parks and hike the trails and take lots of pictures. Any early signs of what next weekend will bring? I hope its better than this. Stay dry and warm on this dreary Thursday.
