More nice winter weather…

At this point, I have to be careful on how I choose my words.  I can say “more NICE winter weather”… because that is a fact:  it’s not going to be snowy/icy/nasty for the next two days.  But I can’t go with “more GREAT winter weather”… because not everyone thinks this is that great at all!  Snow-lovers have had a miserable winter, and with no big storms in sight… the torture will continue.  Sorry, guys.

To rub it in a bit, Mother Nature sends a chance of snow this week… but it will be another non-event, with no accumulation expected.  Here’s what’s happening:

Today–high pressure is in control, bringing about plenty of sunshine with highs in the upper 40s.  Pretty much a carbon-copy of yesterday!  Tuesday will start off sunny, but as a cold front approaches clouds will increase.  Despite this, we should still make it into the mid-40s during the afternoon.  The front comes through, bringing in the chance for the aforementioned snow showers late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning:

Again, we won’t see accumulation because the front really has no moisture to work with.  Clouds may linger Wednesday afternoon, and it will certainly be chilly behind the front with highs in the mid-30s.  These colder temps are actually closer to NORMAL for this time of year!

There are signs of a cold blast arriving for the weekend, so be prepared for a drop in temperature come Friday.  Highs on Saturday may only make it into the upper 20s with lows in the teens.  As we’ve seen this season, the cold snaps are pretty short-lived, and this will likely be the case with this one, too.  We’ll keep you posted.
