Showers, warming and an adventure ahead!
We’re starting off about 8-degrees cooler this morning than this same time yesterday. It feels nice and refreshing with morning temps in the lower 50s and mostly clear skies. The afternoon also looks about 8-10 degrees cooler than yesterday… as clouds and even showers move down into the area. We still have that northerly flow over the region, and there is a batch of clouds/showers to our northeast that will drift down in our direction:
Anytime after lunch we will see about a 30-40% chance of scattered showers in the area. Not everyone will see the rain, and anything that does fall will be relatively light. But parts of the Miami Valley really do need the moisture, so hopefully if you need a little rain… you’ll get some today! Because the next chance of rain is an entire week away!
Today’s highs will be close to 70-degrees… so not as warm as we have been. After today, a warming trend develops as temperatures go up each day through the end of the week!
We’ll be back to pool weather by the weekend!
Don’t forget this evening is a rare occurrence that will only happen once in our lifetimes! It’s the Transit of Venus… you can get more info here –> Transit of Venus. While we will see more cloud cover today, there is a chance of some clear spots by evening… just don’t look directly at the sun without the proper eye wear! Check in with Chief Meteorologist Brian Davis at 5pm for the latest satellite loop and info on viewing.
So, I’m doing it. I registered for my first half marathon–the Air Force half. I’m so so excited for this… and just a little nervous. Right now I am up to six miles for my “long” runs, and still doing 3-4 miles on my shorter run days. Keep in mind that ON the short days, I am pushing a double baby jogger–60 extra lbs! I honestly think those days are harder than my long days, when I either go solo or just bring one child. The challenge is keeping it fun for THEM so they’re not bored to pieces riding along with me. I’m taking suggestions… many ways to reach me below
Thanks, and have a great day!
