It has been very nice this week–highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s with our fair share of sunshine.  But not really ideal conditions for the pool.  We just need to get it a little bit warmer… and we WILL over the weekend!  The warming trend is still set to continue over the next few days!  There is a LOT going on this weekend, too… from the Banana Split Festival in Wilmington… to Poultry Days up in Versailles… we’ve got you covered with a great summer-like forecast!

And we actually started the celebration early here at 2 News, with a banana split breakfast this morning!

Today is our last day on this news set, as construction crews will start tearing it down tomorrow.  We will be in a transition period with our shows being anchored from the newsroom, while the new HD set is being built.  I feel it’s going to be a lonely month for me… as I will be out here in the temporary forecast center all by myself!  I hope all of you will keep me company on Twitter, Facebook and Google+!  Links below!
