Super Sunday but showers for MondayJuly 29th, 2012 at 6:28 pm by Tara Hastings under Weather
In yesterday’s blog I mentioned July in Dayton has been above normal. Today I asked the National Weather Service in Wilmington where this July ranks among other July’s. Here’s what I found.
Right now Dayton is sitting in the fourth slot. There’s only a few more days in July so we may not make it all the way to number one but there is a chance we may change positions because above average temperatures are expected through the end of the month.
Today we hit 85 and saw lots of sunshine. We got a great photo from Margaret Powell who was at the Celtic Festival today.
Don’t forget you can always use our reportit feature on our website or the WDTN app to share your photos with us.
I hope you were able to get any of your outdoor activities done today because temperatures and rain chances are on the rise.
A piece of energy moves through the Miami Valley Monday morning bringing a chance for scattered showers.
We should see a few breaks in the clouds by the afternoon but there will still be a chance for a few showers especially south of I-70 in the afternoon. There’s another chance for rain on Tuesday as a cold front sweeps across the Miami Valley. Keep the umbrella handy on Tuesday as well.
Once we get through Tuesday the weather improves. High pressure builds across the area and that means lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday.
