Aaaahhhhh weather behind cold front…
What a relief!! Over the weekend the humidity was oppressive, but today it’s quite the different story. Dew points have dipped into the mid-50s in the region, and it feels great!! Temperatures have also come down, with a COOL morning in the upper 50s:
But this is nothing. Check out morning lows in parts of Wisconsin and Michigan–a nice Fall preview!!
As we head through the afternoon, high pressure will keep skies bright and temperatures near-normal… with really comfortable levels of humidity. We should top out near 83-degrees. The next chance of rain will come during the second half of the week. We expect to see scattered showers and thunderstorms both Thursday and Friday. Here’s what the ECMWF is forecasting for Thursday evening:
Then, there are signs of a big cool-down for next weekend! Models are showing a trough over the Great Lakes, which would keep highs in the 70s! Things could change, but if this pans out… it will be the coolest high temperatures we’ve seen since the first half of June!
