Friday front brings cooler weekend
Last night’s cold front brought a round of significant rain to the Miami Valley, some strong winds and even hail. Some of the high school football games had to be cancelled due to the strong storms but luckily no tornadoes touched down in the area. There was a brief touchdown in Newtonsville (east of Cincinnati) It’s rated as an EF0 with winds near 75 mph and a path length of about 300 yards. For more detailed information you can click here.
There were only a few storm reports across the Miami Valley.
However we did get a few photos from our reportit feature and we thank you!

The storms brought heavy rain to some while areas in Clinton county seemed to not get that much.
The front brought MUCH cooler and refreshing air behind it. Today’s highs stayed in the upper 60′s near 70 and will stay that way through Monday. There’s another much weaker system that will move across the area on Sunday. This system right now is producing some rain across portions of Wisconsin and will move through tomorrow. This will only bring a 30% chance of showers to the region and they will be much lighter and spotty in coverage than the storms we had on Friday night.
Behind this next front we’ll see quiet weather for the next several days as an area of high pressure parks itself over most of Ohio. This means lots of sunshine, little wind and pleasant temperatures.
Have a fantastic weekend!
