Cold morning, still chilly this afternoon…
This morning was the coldest we’ve seen yet this season here in the Miami Valley. Here’s a look at 8am temperatures:
The National Weather Service reports Springfield hit an official low of 19-degrees… and Hamilton dropped to 21-degrees. The Dayton Airport checked in as cold as 26-degrees, and a few spots did report some freezing fog. In southern Clark County, visibility dropped to a quarter-mile at times this morning. And, FROST… oh, the frost. Scraping the windshield was a must this morning, unless you parked in the garage. OR were like me and just started the car early to let it run & warm up
We can expect a good deal of sunshine today, but temperatures continue to run about 10-degrees below normal. We’ll see highs near 46.
Good news: High pressure will still control our weather on Election Day…. so a dry forecast is in place while the polls are open!
As we head into the overnight hours, however, there is a pretty good shot at a few showers with a cold front moving through:
Snow will potentially mix in as well, but we’re not expecting any accumulation. Wednesday early in the morning a few showers may linger, but the afternoon will be dry. Beyond this, it’s a WARM UP for us! Upper 50s by Friday, and woo-hoo… 60s for the weekend!
