Gloomy day ahead… at least it feels mild!

We are starting off with fog and a few light showers this morning.  The chance for a shower will continue even as we head toward lunchtime before coming to an end.  A weak boundary is passing through today… bringing that slight rain chance:

But it’s also keeping temperatures UP!  Check out those morning readings in the upper 50s… amazing that it is December 3rd!!  Even though the clouds will linger all day, a southerly breeze will push highs into the mid-60s this afternoon.  We will be running about 20-degrees above normal!  But, of course, it won’t last long.  A cold front arrives on Tuesday, and more substantial rain is likely:

Right now it looks like the rain will spread in during the morning… and hang around at least through mid-afternoon before tapering off.  We could even hear a few rumbles of thunder as the front moves through.  Behind this front, temperatures will turn chilly for mid-week… but the sun returns, as well!  Expect bright conditions both Wednesday and Thursday.

Another front drops in for Friday–and potentially–the whole weekend.  This boundary could stall in the region, and exactly where that happens will determine how active our weather will be.  Right now it looks like we at least have a chance of showers Friday right through Monday.  Stay tuned.
