Last mild morning…December 4th, 2012 at 8:26 am by Jamie Jarosik under Weather
Stepping out to 60-degrees on an early December morning seems wrong… but that is just what we had today! However, things are about to get real. A cold front sits just west of us this morning… with southerly winds ahead of it, we are enjoying the mild conditions… but there is then a drop in temperature behind this front:
We will notice a wind-shift later this afternoon as the front comes through. Rain will also develop ahead of the front as it moves in… here’s the 8am look at Live Doppler 2HD:
It looks like the highest rain chances will run from noon today through 5 or 6pm, before tapering off. Overnight skies will clear out a bit, and in the colder airmass we will drop down into the mid-30s. So quite the different story tomorrow morning! Wednesday afternoon will feature highs in the lower 40s–which will feel pretty chilly, but lower 40s are actually normal highs this time of year! Yes, we’ve been extremely spoiled.
We are still watching the Friday-Monday timeframe for some very active weather… right now we have a pretty good shot at showers each day. As we get closer, we will be able to pinpoint exactly what will happen–placement of heaviest rain and timing each day. So stay tuned for an unsettled stretch!
