January thaw continues…

After spending most of this month below normal, temperatures are starting to re-bound.  Normal highs this time of year are near 35-degrees.  We made it up to 36 yesterday… and will be even warmer this afternoon.  In fact, we will make it into the 40s for the first time since before Christmas!  High pressure continues to dominate our weather, too… so expect more sunshine.  We will also see some high clouds drifting through the region, so the sun will be filtered at times today.  Expect temperatures to be a bit warmer Wednesday… and then rain returns to the area Thursday:

There is a good chance of showers, especially Thursday afternoon and evening, as highs remain in the 40s.  The weather pattern will remain unsettled right through the weekend, too… as a slow-moving front sets up across the area.  It looks like we will be on the warmer side of things, so it’s mostly rain in the forecast.  Not a wash-out, mind you… but at least a chance of rain each day.  Even though the weather will be wet at times, take a look at the warm-up expected:

Sunday will be turning a bit chilly again, and then on Monday it will be colder with the potential to see some snowflakes.  So enjoy the mild weather while it’s here :)
