Back to reality…cold air is here!

What a mild weekend it was–here’s a look at where we were:

I hope you got to get out and enjoy some of that warmth… because it’s looooong gone.  Just look at how much colder we are this morning vs. the same time yesterday:

Brrrrrr may be an understatement.  Temperatures across the Miami Valley start in the lower 20s today, with wind chills in the teens.  Granted, this is right around normal for this time of year, but it is harder to take after the unseasonably mild weekend.  The colder conditions are here for awhile–most of this week will feature highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s.  Precip chances remain very low this week, too.  Today’s will be focused off to our southeast, along a stalled front.  By tomorrow night, some of that moisture will try to creep our way:

So just a 20% chance of a spotty shower Tuesday… and again Wednesday.  Beyond that, very quiet weather conditions.  Short blog today–we have some new equipment coming into the Storm Team 2 Forecast Center, and will have some training both today and tomorrow.  I’m confident you’ll like the changes coming… stay tuned!
