A wintry mix for parts of the Miami Valley…

January 15th, 2013 at 7:16 am by under Weather

Another cold morning, as we’ve dropped into the low & mid 20s again.  Frost, car doors sticking, and power windows that won’t budge.  This afternoon will likely feature more sun than we saw yesterday, BUT clouds will be increasing during the later afternoon hours…

AND then the chance of a wintry mix edges our way overnight…

We could see a little snow… even some sleet and/or freezing rain at times, as some warmer air tries to push in aloft.  Although precip looks to be light, watch for slick spots developing, especially south and east of town.  Here’s where the best precipitation chances will occur:

Also tune to in Chief Meteorologist Brian Davis @WDTN_Brian beginning at 5 this evening… he’ll have an update on this situation, as the moisture has been trending a bit farther north.

Tonight’s lows will again be in the lower 20s, and after a morning flurry or two on Wednesday, we’ll then finish off the week with dry conditions.  We do still expect a bit of a warming trend for Friday and Saturday, but then the next system will drop temperatures for Sunday and especially early next week.  It looks like a blast of Arctic air tries to push in… so stay tuned for more on THAT.
