A break from the snow, but bitter cold…February 1st, 2013 at 7:07 am by Jamie Jarosik under Weather
We have dried out across the Miami Valley, but the chill remains. This morning, temperatures have dipped into the single-digits, and wind chills are running well below zero:
A WIND CHILL ADVISORY is in effect for the entire area through noon today. Temperatures will stay in the teens for highs, so it does end up being the coldest day of the week! Over the weekend, we should make it into the upper 20s for highs both Saturday and Sunday… and the chance of snow returns. You can see Futuretrac showing Saturday afternoon with wide-spread snow:
Saturday’s accumulations look to be on the order of 1 to 3″… with an additional inch or so possible on Sunday. So that would put weekend totals in the 2 to 4″ range. AND a couple fast-moving Clipper systems will also affect us early next week, so the snow chances will remain through Tuesday. Be sure to stay with 2 News and wdtn.com throughout the weekend for the latest weather information. The good news: it does look like there will be a warming trend next week! We could be into the 40s by Thursday!
