Some sun today, but still chilly…

High pressure building into the region has cleared out skies overnight, and this allowed morning temperatures to dip into the 20s.  But after a little frost on the windshield, we’ll see plenty of sunshine!  The sun may be deceiving, though… as we will continue to run about 10-degrees below normal this afternoon, as highs only reach the upper 30s.  Clouds will increase a bit in the late afternoon and evening… and we may go mostly cloudy for a period tonight, as a weak disturbance passes to our southwest:

It does not appear we’ll see any precip from this feature, just the increased cloud cover.  Back to some sun to start Friday, but once again… clouds increase in the afternoon.  Despite this, it’s an end-of-the-week warm-up!  We should push up ner 50-degrees Friday afternoon.  The next system moving in for Friday night and Saturday morning DOES have a pretty good shot at bringing us some rain:

Showers come to an end Saturday afternoon, and right now Sunday (St. Patrick’s Day) is looking fairly quiet for us.  That front looks to be south of the area… and that will be the focal point for precipitation.  It does look to stay far enough away to keep our area dry… but I will keep in a SLIGHT (20%) chance of showers across the southern counties and will update as we get more information in.  The weekend does look chilly, but not TOO cold, with highs in the 40s!
