Welcome Spring… but it’s still cold!

Ahh, it’s nice to see you here again… glad to know you didn’t blow away yesterday! :)   What a gusty day it was–here is a look back at the peak wind gusts from Tuesday:


I did have at least two people ask me why we didn’t have a Wind Advisory issued for the area.  The answer: we really didn’t meet the criteria.  Here are the conditions that would prompt an Advisory:


Today will be another breezy one, although not as gusty as yesterday.  Spring officially began today at 7:02 am.  But as we’ve been saying all week–it certainly doesn’t FEEL like Spring.  Of course this season always has ups & downs… but the nice, mild weather looks to be quite a ways down the road.  Here is the temperature outlook through the end of the month:


Yes, it looks cold.  We will be about 20-degrees below normal for the next two days… and then about 10-degrees below normal on highs over the weekend… and even into next week.  Sorry if you put faith in the groundhog!
