Chilly start to the weekApril 1st, 2013 at 5:46 am by Tara Hastings under Weather
After a beautiful and warmer weekend temperatures drop for the first couple of days this week. If you’re heading to the Red’s opening day festivities make sure you’re dressing in layers because temperatures will stay in the lower 40′s and winds will be brisk out of the northwest.
There’s a slight chance we may see a few light flurries or sprinkles but they will be widely scattered and on the light side.
The main weather story for the next several days will be the chilly temperatures. Highs will be well below normal for the first half of the work week but they’ll rise by the end of the week and for the weekend.
High pressure builds across the Miami Valley for the next few days. While we’ll see some cloud cover throughout the day today look for mostly sunny skies for Tuesday & Wednesday. The clear skies at night mean temperatures will fall into the lower 20′s by daybreak.
By Tuesday afternoon temperatures still stay into the lower to middle 40′s even with lots of sunshine. This chilly air mass sticks around until the middle of the week.
Get ready for the warm up for the end of the week!!
