Another warmer but unsettled week ahead…

Once again, we find ourselves in the “warm sector” of a storm system.  A warm front is north of us… and southerly winds have developed.  Take a look at how mild we are this morning:

Breezy conditions will continue this afternoon, and we’ll get even warmer than we did yesterday (Sunday’s high was 67-degrees).  Expect lower 70s this afternoon, with more clouds than sun.  Even though we’ll see clouds, the chance for any rain is low today… we will likely stay dry for the daylight hours.  BUT as pictured on the surface map above, there is a cold front to the west, which will move into the region tonight.  THAT will kick off scattered showers and thunderstorms after midnight and into Tuesday morning:

Tuesday afternoon also looks unsettled, as the front slowly moves just south of the area… then stalls out.  We will be a touch cooler Tuesday, with the front south & the chance for rain–highs in the upper 60s.  THEN, the front heads back north as a warm front, which will do two things:   1) keep us with a chance of rain… and 2) keep temperatures above normal.  The 70s are back for Wednesday and Thursday… with Thursday being the warmest day this week.  Thursday does have the best potential to see mostly dry weather, as we could be in the warm sector again for a good part of the day.  We will watch the trends & keep you posted!
