Nice end to the week, but some changes for the weekend…

High pressure building down from the northwest at the surface is bringing about some fantastic weather as we finish off the week.  Morning temperatures have been pleasantly cool:

And we’ll stick with really nice conditions as we head into the afternoon hours, too.  Expect highs to reach near 80-degrees with continued sunshine.  There ARE some changes to the weekend forecast, however.  It now appears an area of low pressure will cut-off and drift from east to west–just south of the Miami Valley.  Here’s how it looks today:

On Saturday–just a slight chance of a pop-up shower here.  On Sunday, with the low WEST of us, we will be in a more southerly flow with increasing heat and humidity:

This could mean a slightly better shot of a few scattered showers/thunderstorms… mainly in the afternoon hours.  And that slight chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm will continue next week as temperatures continue to warm and humidity stays high.  We will see highs in the upper 80s to near 90 through most of the week!  Good pool weather, as rain chances are only at 20-30%.

Have a great weekend!
