High and dry through the end of the week…

With high pressure in control, it has been a cool morning across the Miami Valley.  Clear skies and light winds have had our temperatures down in the low and mid-50s today.  Here are 7am temps:

The record low on this date is 50-degrees… we will be close.  But we will also warm nicely this afternoon in our dry airmass, with lots of sunshine.  Highs will reach the mid-to-upper 70s.  Expect similar conditions if you’re heading to Columbus for the Ohio State Fair:

We will be a touch warmer on Friday, as the high shifts east (highs near 80)… but this opens the door for our next weathermaker to enter.  A cold front approaches from the west on Saturday, and this will kick off scattered showers and thunderstorms for the first part of the weekend.  It’s still unclear of the exact coverage of rain–ie, how many will see it vs. miss out–but we will continue to update things as we get closer to the weekend.

All the while, temperatures will remain below normal with upper 70s Saturday and only mid 70s on Sunday!
