Warm and humid with some showers this holiday weekendAugust 30th, 2013 at 7:43 am by Tara Hastings under Weather
Another foggy start across the Miami Valley although it’s not as bad as it was yesterday morning. We’ll see the patches of fog and some cloud cover for the next several hours. By the afternoon we’ll break into some sunshine and that will allow us to heat up quickly. It will also feel a little uncomfortable once the sun comes out due to the high humidity.
We’re still under the influence of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere. This means warmer temperatures and high humidity through the holiday weekend.
Our jet stream pattern changes on Monday as a strong cold front moves through the area. This will drop our temperatures to near normal and lower our humidity.
It really doesn’t feel like high school football season but it begins tonight! No rain expected for the games. It’s going to feel warm and muggy with partly cloudy skies.
We have a couple of rain chances this weekend but it’s not going to be a wash out. We’ll see a chance of showers Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
There’s a slight chance for a spotty shower after midnight but a better chance of rain occurs Saturday afternoon as a cold front moves through the area.
A stronger cold front moves in Monday and brings us another chance for a few showers. More importantly it drops our temperatures and lowers the humidity.
