Changes today… rain and cooler air on the way!September 12th, 2013 at 8:39 am by Jamie Jarosik under Weather
A slow moving cold front will pass through today, and ahead of it we are seeing RAIN!! Yes, rain is falling in parts of the Miami Valley. We desperately need it, too, as we are more than 7″ below normal on rain for the year. And as I’ve mentioned in recent blogs, areas northwest of Dayton have also been included in the “Abnormally Dry” category on the weekly drought monitor report. These locations have been included on the new update today, but it only takes into account what had occurred through Tuesday of this week:
Keep Live Doppler 2HD handy today–you can see where the rain is, as we will continue the chance through the mid-afternoon hours. There are actually two cold fronts that will affect us:
The first one brings the best chance of rain… the second one may bring a few showers tonight, but the main thing that second front will do is DROP temperatures and humidity levels. Our highs on Friday will only reach the mid-upper 60s. And Saturday morning will be chilly, as we drop into the mid-40s!
