Clouds, but dry and pleasant…September 16th, 2013 at 5:37 am by Jamie Jarosik under Weather
A cold front moved through the Miami Valley during the overnight hours, and brought some light rain with it. Rainfall amounts were highest in the northern counties:
The rain is moving away, but clouds will linger in it’s wake today. Temperatures will also be slightly cooler, as we’re running about six-degrees below normal; we should hit a high near 70 today. High pressure builds in tonight, which will help to clear the skies, and Tuesday’s forecast calls for a good deal of sunshine. This will help to warm us more, and we’ll see highs in the low-mid 70s.
The warming trend will continue into the second half of the week, with lower 80s back for Thursday and Friday. As the warm air advances in, we can’t rule out a spotty shower Wednesday afternoon, but rain chances then increase as a cold front approaches toward the end of the week.
If the timing of the front stays the same, Friday night football games may be wet… but drier conditions would build in for the Air Force Marathon Saturday morning. We will keep you posted on how things look as the week goes on!
