Snow and freezing temperaturesOctober 23rd, 2013 at 6:41 pm by Tara Hastings under Weather
Well we’ve been talking about it for days here at Storm Team 2 and sure enough we had some snow this morning. Here are a few photos that viewers from across the Miami Valley that we received via report!t.
This mornings snowfall broke a couple of different records. First it broke a daily snowfall record at the airport – the old record was .2″ back in 1917. The second record was the days between spring and fall snowfall. One of my twitter followers said “that’s only 6 months” Makes it seem even shorter when you put it like that!
We’re seeing a few showers right now on the radar and they are mixing at times. Some sleet and even graupel.
Sarah Lews sent us this photo from Celina.
The winter like conditions continue later tonight. We have a freeze warning in effect tonight through early Thursday morning.
Highs are normally in the lower 60′s for this time of year. However Thursday we’ll stay in the lower to middle 40′s.
Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy. We can’t rule out a chance for an isolated rain or snow shower tomorrow.
The weather will improve heading into the weekend. We will see temperatures rise into the 50′s with sunny skies.
