A strong cold front is heading towards the Miami Valley.  Ahead of it, southerly winds will help to keep temperatures above normal both today and Friday.  Lows will be in the 40s, with afternoon highs reaching the lower 50s.  BUT this also comes with the chance for rain.  We’ve seen rain through the morning, with the southern edge gradually working northward.  Here is the 7:45 radar image… click the link below for the CURRENT image:

So rain lingers longest in the northern counties today as it ends from south-to-north.  Most of us will see a good deal of dry weather this afternoon, but lots of clouds will linger.  Rain spreads BACK into the area this evening:

forecast

Expect showers to stick around overnight and through the day Friday, as the actual front comes through.  Friday will be another cool day, but the weekend looks MUCH colder behind this front!  Get ready for another round of fire place weather:

Not only will it be cold at night, but high temperatures will also run well below normal.  Saturday in the mid-30s… and we don’t get above freezing on Sunday!  There are also signs temperatures will continue to run below normal as we head towards the Thanksgiving holiday.
