Happy New Year… snow returns shortly!December 31st, 2013 at 9:22 am by Jamie Jarosik under Weather
After a few morning flurries, we will enjoy a drier afternoon today. While we are starting with clouds, we do expect them to break up from lunchtime and beyond… and we should get to enjoy a little sunshine. Temperatures, however, will remain below normal and cold. Highs will only reach the upper 20s today. It still looks dry as we head into NYE:
Most of Wednesday will be dry, but our far northern counties will have the chance of snow showers throughout NYD:
Then, that area of snow will spread south Wednesday night through Thursday. All of the Miami Valley will see snow, and it looks likely to accumulate. Right now, I would say most have a good chance at seeing a couple of inches… here is the probability of two or more inches through Thursday:
So the take-away from this right now… if you have to head back to work or school Thursday morning, roads will be snowy and slippery. This will cause a slow morning commute, so plan accordingly!
