Cooler today, but really warming up mid-week!May 5th, 2014 at 7:30 am by Jamie Jarosik under Weather
A frontal boundary is sitting off to our southwest–stalled at the moment:
Temperatures are cool north of this boundary, and we are starting the day with some scattered showers and thunderstorms. The chance for rain will continue through the first part of the day, tapering off as we head beyond lunchtime. We will see a wide range in temperatures across the area today, with highs in the 60s to the south… and upper 50s north:
The closer to the front you get, the warmer it will be! An upper level ridge will build in through the middle part of the week, bringing in much warmer weather as it pushes the stalled front north of us:
As the front moves through Tuesday night, we will see a few spotty showers. But it will be very summer-like Wednesday and Thursday! The rain chances return for Friday and the weekend, and temperatures will come down a bit, with highs in the 70s.
